Team Venezuela are set to play their final game of the World Baseball Classic (WBC) group stage against Team Israel on March 15. The Pool D matchup will take place at 12 p.m. local time at LoanDepot Park, Miami.
Venezuela sit at the top of Pool D with three games played, having won all of them. They have already qualified for the knockout stage and will look to cement their top spot in the group. Israel are in third place in the group and are already eliminated from the tournament. However, their solitary win against Nicaragua means that they qualify automatically for the next edition of the tournament.
Here’s the television schedule for the next few days of the tournament:
- March 15, 12 p.m. ET Venezuela vs. Israel
- March 15, 7 p.m. ET Puerto Rico vs. Dominican Republic
There are several options for baseball fans to watch the games online. FS2 will showcase Venezuela vs. Israel while viewers can catch Puerto Rico vs. Dominican Republic on FS1. FuboTV is a platform that provides live streaming of all games on multiple channels. Other options to watch the tournament live are Hulu and Prime Video. Depending on the country of the viewer, there are also TV channels and regional platforms that provide a live broadcast of the tournament.
Team Venezuela look to keep continue their WBC winning streak while Team Israel hope to exit with a bang
All the big MLB names in Venezuela’s lineup have shown up sharp in the WBC. The likes of Ronald Acuna Jr., Jose Altuve and Luis Arraez have all lived up to their reputation and produced goods on the field. They have never reached the final of the WBC but this year they look like they have their sights set on the title.
Team Israel also has some serious MLB experience in the form of veterans Ian Kinsler, Ike Davis and Danny Valencia. However, Pool D opponents Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico proved too strong for them. They have struggled offensively and gone without scoring in two games. With their backs now against the wall, they will be dangerous opponents who will come out swinging hard.
